Clinical picture
Scars are the expression of the healing process that occurs in the dermis and epidermis after an attack, whether after a surgical intervention or after trauma. When scarring is excessive, the scar becomes elevated.
We divide overly elevated scars into two groups: keloids and simple hypertrophic scars. At the same time, we have other types of scars such as depressed punctate scars produced by the sequelae of acne, chickenpox, etc., depressed scars produced by trauma or surgical procedures, and wide scars.
