These small dermal lesions generally occur on the chest, neck and arms, although they can arise anywhere on the body. Its distinctive characteristic is its intense red color and its small size, which usually ranges between 1 and 2 millimeters in diameter. They are especially common in people with very fair skin.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Causas-de-los-Nevus-Rufus\"><\/span>Causes of Nevus Rufus<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The main cause of Nevus Rufus is the dilation of small superficial blood vessels, which gives them their distinctive red color. Although its appearance is commonly related to the natural aging of the skin, there are other factors that can contribute to its development:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Liver Disorders<\/strong>: Problems in liver function can predispose to the appearance of these nevi.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Natural Aging<\/strong>: The skin tends to show signs of aging over the years, and Nevus Rufus is a common manifestation of this process.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Prolonged Sun Exposure<\/strong>: Continuous and inadequate exposure to UV rays can contribute to the development of Nevus Rufus due to cumulative damage to the skin.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hormonal changes<\/strong>: Fluctuaciones hormonales, especialmente durante el embarazo, pueden desencadenar la aparici\u00f3n de estos lunares. No obstante, es recomendable consultar a un dermat\u00f3logo para una evaluaci\u00f3n adecuada y descartar otras posibles afecciones cut\u00e1neas.
