T<\/span>Characteristic lesions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop at sites of skin injury (such as a scratch), on previously healthy skin<\/li>\n<li>Have the same clinic and <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"474\">histological<\/span> features such as lesions of the patient&#039;s original skin disease<\/li>\n<li>They are not due to the seeding of an infectious agent, a <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"1335\">allergic reaction<\/span> to a contact agent, or skin degradation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lesions may form in patients with or without pre-existing skin conditions. A true Koebner response can be confirmed by experimental reproduction of lesions with different lesion methods. However, this does not always work and is often not practical or desirable.<\/p>\n<p>Koebner phenomenon lesions are often <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"321\">linear<\/span> in shape, as they follow the route of skin injury. This is particularly observed in patients with psoriasis.
