\nMelanocytic<\/span> the matrix is a rare tumor<\/span> which is presented as a small strongly pigmented<\/span> tumor. Clinically mimics nodular<\/span> melanoma<\/span>, hemangioma<\/span> and other pigmented tumors. Until now, these tumors have exhibited a benign<\/span> clinical course.<\/p>\n<\/span>\nHistology<\/span> of melanocytic matricoma<\/span><\/h2>\nThe sections through the melanocytic matrix show a goodcircumscribed<\/span> dermal<\/span> tumor that can invade and erode the overlying layer epidermis<\/span> (Figure 1). There is heavy melanin<\/span> statement<\/span>. The tumor is made up of basaloid<\/span> cells with some nuclear<\/span> pleomorphism<\/span> and conspicuous mitotic<\/span> exercise. Intermixed with these epithelial<\/span> cells are a dendritic population melanocytes<\/span> (Figures 1-4). <\/span>Special studies of melanocytic matricoma.<\/span><\/h2>\nCurb<\/span> The spots confirm that the tumor is epithelial (rather than melanoma). Melanocytic spots demonstrate a population of intertwined dendritic melanocytes.<\/p>\n\n

<\/span>\nDifferential diagnosis<\/span> of melanocytic matricoma<\/span><\/h2>\nMelanoma: These tumors can simulate melanoma clinically and histologically<\/span> (The case illustrated here was initially diagnosed with melanoma both clinically and histologically). Immunohistochemical studies may help to exclude this possibility. Keratinization should not be seen in melanoma.<\/p>\nBasal<\/span> cell carcinoma<\/span> - BCC can show matrical focal differentiation<\/span>. However, other features such as stromal retraction and peripheral<\/span> the stockade must be seen with BCC.<\/p>\nEvil one<\/span> matricoma Malignancy<\/span> in matrix tumors it may be difficult to exclude in small biopsies<\/span> given the marked pleomorphism and mitosis<\/span> which are common in benign matrical tumors.
