<\/span><\/h2>\nThere are numerous different clinical forms of angiofibromas<\/span> they share an identical histopathology<\/span>:<\/p>\n\n- Fibrous papule<\/span><\/li>\n
- Pearl penis papules<\/span><\/li>\n
- \nadenoma<\/span> sebaceous (facial angiofibomas associated with tuberoses sclerosis<\/span>)<\/li>\n
- Syndromic angiofibroma<\/span>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/span>\nHistology<\/span> angiofibroma<\/span><\/h2>\nAngiofibromas cause a dome-shaped mass on the surface dermis<\/span> (Figure 1). The overlying epidermis<\/span> not involved but it can be atrophic<\/span>. the injury<\/span> is characterized by a proliferation<\/span> of starry cells and spiral around blood vessels<\/span> (Figure 2). There is thick concentric collagen<\/span> packages (figures 1, 2). Comparison of the collagen density of the lesion with the surrounding dermis, which should be looser or elastotically damaged, may be a useful diagnostic clue. Occasionally a scant inflammatory<\/span> cell infiltrate<\/span> of lymphocytes<\/span> is present.<\/p>\nVarious histological<\/span> Subtypes have been described:<\/p>\n\n- Hypercellular angiofibroma is characterized by a greater number of stellate and spindle-shaped cells (Figure 3).<\/li>\n
- Clear cell angofibroma shows a proliferation of granular to foamy cells that resembles histiocytes<\/span>.<\/li>\n
- \nPleomorphic<\/span> angiofibroma is characterized by strange, starry fibroblasts<\/span>.<\/li>\n
- A epithelioid<\/span> The angiofibroma variant consists of epithelioid-like cells with rose cytoplasm<\/span> and prominent nucleoli.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

<\/span>Special studies for angiofibroma.<\/span><\/h2>\nDermal<\/span> dendritic cells<\/span> it is generally stained for factor XIIIa. S100 is negative.<\/p>\n<\/span>\nDifferential diagnosis<\/span> angiofibroma pathology<\/span>
