The main risk of anti-TNF therapy is reduced immunity to bacterial<\/span>, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections, including:<\/p>\n\n- Tuberculosis<\/li>\n
- Histoplasmosis<\/li>\n
- Coccidioidomycosis<\/li>\n
- Blastomycosis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
They can also increase the risks of skin cancer and autoimmune<\/span> diseases, including demyelinating conditions.<\/p>\nAnti-TNF drugs can lose their effect over time, possibly due to the induction of antibodies against them. Paradoxically, anti-TNF can sometimes cause dermatological side effects, such as:<\/p>\n
