This includes disorders of blood cells (red blood cells, white blood cells, and <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"616\">platelets<\/span>) and cancer conditions that affect these blood cells. The cutaneous signs of hematologic disease described here are useful for diagnosis and can also cause complications.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Anemia\"><\/span><span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"319\">chronic<\/span> Myeloproliferative disorder of myeloid cells that causes an increase in the mass of red blood cells.<\/p>\n<p>The cutaneous manifestations (itchy skin caused by contact with water)<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Erythromelalgia (redness and burning of the hands \/ feet)<\/li>\n<li>\n<span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"1349\">Livedo<\/span> reticular (purplish discoloration)<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Acrocyanosis (bluish-purplish discoloration of hands \/ feet)<\/li>\n<li>\n<span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"1626\">Pyoderma<\/span> gangrenous (<span This can be broadly divided into <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"47\">cutaneous<\/span> mastocytosis, which is more common in children, and <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"380\">systemic<\/span> mastocytosis, which is more common in adults.<\/p>\n<p>The cutaneous manifestations are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"938\">Maculopapular<\/span> cutaneous mastocytosis (brown \/ brown) <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"366\">papules<\/span> reddish-brown macules and papules in adults).
