They arise from the neuromyoarterial glomus cells found in the fingers and palms. The normal counterpart from which these tumors arise is the Suquet-Hoyer canal. The clinic <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"164\">injury<\/span> It is a 1-2 cm reddish-blue solitaire <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"217\">papule<\/span> in a young adult<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Histologia-de-tumores-glomicos\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"128\">Histology<\/span> of glomus tumors<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Glomus tumors are <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"52\">dermal<\/span>, good <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"37\">circumscribed<\/span> and consist of small vessels surrounded by glomus cells (Figure 1). Myosin can be positive. CD34 and CD31 are positive in <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"758\">endothelial<\/span> cells; glomus cells are generally negative (Figure 5, CD31 staining).<\/p>\n<div id=\"square-placement-country-holder\" class=\"country-dependent advert\">\n<div class=\"box-placement square-placement\">\n<div class=\"advert__frame\">\n<div id=\"dermnet-dermnet-mobbox\">\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Diagnostico-diferencial-de-tumores-glomicos\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"813\">Differential diagnosis<\/span> of glomus tumors<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Glomuvenous <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"1631\">malformation<\/span> (glomangioma): <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"753\">Vascular<\/span> The component is more prominent and with dilated vessels. <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"769\">Thrombosis<\/span> and phlebolith formation may be evident.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"844\">Eccrine<\/span> spiradenoma: distinguished by the presence of two cell populations, positivity for <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"847\">epithelial<\/span> bookmarks and <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"489\">focal<\/span> ductal <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"1307\">differentiation<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"1039\">Intradermal<\/span> <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"353\">nevus<\/span>: Glomus cells can sometimes resemble naevomelanocytes.
