The advantage of culture is that it can provide <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"516\">antimicrobial<\/span> susceptibility testing (which is important since this <span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"882\">organism<\/span> rapidly develops resistance to many antibiotics) and confirmatory tests.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Acido-nucleico-pruebas-de-amplificacion\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"term\" data-term-id=\"1360\">Nucleic acid<\/span> amplification tests<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT) are increasingly available.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For women, a vaginal or endocervical sample is equally sensitive.<\/li>\n<li>For men, first pass urine is preferred.
