Laser wart treatment.
Warts are skin lesions caused by the human papilloma virus.

Its removal is not easy as the warts have their own blood supply system which generates heavy bleeding.
Additionally nerve committed by causing great pain terminals.

Warts are contagious. Individuals with impaired immune systems are more prone to this disease. Depending on the serotype of the virus, the affected area is different (hands, face, feet, anogenital etc.).

Treatments.
The treatments are based on the local tissue destruction:

  1. Cryosurgery (freezing the tissue) is an effective treatment but very painful and leaves a damage of the treated area that has long recovery.
  2. Electrocoagulation generated as much destruction of tissue, long recovery time and possible scarring.
  3. Surgical treatment.
  4. Laser Treatment.
  5. Topical Medications.
  6. Intralesional bleomycin inhibits DNA and slows growth.

At Centro Hoogstra, we treat the warts with the Erbium Laser Lotus II.

The Lotus hits the wart at high speed creating no pain to the patient or damage to the surrounding tissues.

The Lotus Laser II leaves no scars.

Large warts generally we get in more than one session.

After each session, no special care is required and the patient immediately resumed their activity.
