Hyperhidrosis deteriorates personal and work activities affecting quality of life.
Oral medication and surgery (endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy). Are some of the treatment options. Hoogstra Medicals Centers not use oral therapy because it has short nor thoracic sympathectomy performed since it can cause severe complications.

The therapeutic options offered at Hoogstra Medical Centres are:

1) The blockade of nerve endings with Botulinum Toxin Type A:
It is a safe and effective option produces temporary denervation of the sweat glands, resulting in a local reduction in sweating for a period of 7-8 months.

2) Non Surgical glandular destruction with SCARLET:
Scarlet is a novel RF Micro needles. During treatment a disposable head containing 21 micro needles is introduce through the skin at varying depths, the thermal action causes glandular destruction with consequent decreased sweating The treatment lasts 15 minutes, is painless and the patients can continue immediately with their daily activity. Scarlet provides a definitive reduction of axillary sweating , is a quick and painless treatment , without adverse effects . Scarlet is performed once a month. After 4 to 6 months a reduction of a 70 % of sweating is calculated.

3) Laser treatment:
Treatment of axillary hyperhidrosis using laser has the advantage of being less invasive procedure. The laser has proven effective and safe for treating axillary hyperhidrosis. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia in the area. An incision of 1mm is performed through which the laser fiber is inserted. The fiber laser slides under the skin. The light energy emitted at the laser fiber tip produces coagulation of the sweat glands. The next day the patient can resume his activity.
