Jadassohn's nevus is a cutaneous hamartoma that combines anomalies of the epidermis, hair follicles, sebaceous glands, apocrine glands and sometimes the mesenchymal elements of the dermis, so its name as sebaceous nevus is inappropriate, since which only refers to one of the components of this cutaneous hamartoma.

He Jadassohn nevus It is usually present at the time of birth. In some cases it has family origin.
Clinically it manifests itself as a plaque with a smooth surface, preferably located on the face, scalp or neck. When it occurs on the scalp, there is alopecia.

Over time, Jadassohn's nevus tends to rise and grow. They have little chance of malignancy and today it is considered that their treatment is only for aesthetic purposes.

Treatment

If it occurs on the scalp, it is generally advisable to remove it surgically to eliminate that area of hair loss.

If it occurs on the face, the most appropriate treatment is with Erbium Lotus II laser. In this way scars are avoided, it is not painful and the patient immediately continues with their normal life. Depending on the size and thickness, the number of sessions needed to eliminate it will be.

The aesthetic results with this type of treatment are far superior to any other treatment currently available.
