Lip and vulvar cysts

Elimination of sebaceous cysts on genitals without surgery

Milium Cysts Treatment

Removal of Milium cysts with Lotus laser

Milium cysts are small whitish pellets of around 1mm in diameter that appear spontaneously on the cheeks and more frequently in the area around the eyes.

Milium cysts come out due to obstruction of the so-called "pilosebaceous follicles".

They generally appear spontaneously.

They are frequent in newborns and usually disappear on their own.

In older children, adolescents and adults they usually persist and are often unsightly.

A quick, effective solution without skin damage is the treatment with Laser Lotus.

Morphea

Spots on the lips

Clinical picture

Dark spots on the lips are often benign, occur more frequently in white-skinned patients, are generally single lesions on the lower lip, and are caused by sun exposure.

Treatment

The most effective and least traumatic treatment is the 1064-532 Helios ND Yag Laser.
Although lip melanoma is rare, this type of lesion should be ruled out before treatment.
Other common injuries to the lips are vascular injuries, caused by trauma to the lower lip with the teeth. Sometimes they are accidental and other times they are caused by the patient's habit of biting his lower lip.

Racial pigmentation, a dark line that extends on the mucosa of the lower and upper lip in dark-skinned patients, is also a frequent reason for consultation and disappears or fades after a couple of sessions with Helios laser modality 1,064.

Other pigmented lesions of the lips

  • If the pigmentation occurs on both lips, is diffuse and the patient is young, racial pigmentation or Peutz Jegher syndrome should be considered.
  • If the pigmentation occurs on both lips, is diffuse and the patient is an adult, Adison's disease, heavy metals or Kaposi's disease should be considered. They can also be produced by a local inflammatory process, in smokers or by certain drugs.
  • If the lesion is local, red or blue, we must think of a hemangioma. solar lentigo or pigmented nevus.
  • If the lesion is locally blue or gray in color, a blue nevus should be considered.

These lesions should be evaluated by dermatologists.
Our team of dermatologists is trained to make an adequate diagnosis and treatment of each of these pathologies.
