Hair by hair hair transplant

The hair-by-hair hair implant is the most advanced procedure for the treatment of baldness.

In my career as a plastic surgeon, which began in 1987, and which has gone through the large rotating scalp flaps, the implant punches, the extensive scars in the donor area, the unnatural results, being able to have reached this scientific advance that does not leave scarring sequels, that provides an absolute naturalness, fills me with satisfaction and makes me want to further promote this procedure.

In the following video you will be able to observe how the hair is removed, how it is implanted, its absolute naturalness and the absence of scarring stigmata.

How is a hair implant done?

In some forms of alopecia, it may be necessary to resort to surgical treatment to obtain an optimal result. Currently, hair transplantation is used through follicular micrografts. This hair technique has improved substantially in recent years. In fact we can say that at the present time it has reached its maturity, allowing totally natural results to be obtained.

The hair transplant technique using micrografts (“hair by hair”) is a minimally invasive surgery performed with local anesthesia, does not require admission, and the patient returns to his normal social and work life in a few days. The final result is observed at 12 months, so the image change obtained is gradual. It is an intervention that produces a very high degree of satisfaction in patients with alopecia, both men and women.

Ideal age for a hair transplant

The ideal age is between 30 and 40 years, however, this depends on each case. There are patients who do not reach the age of 30 who already have alopecia so advanced that it will not stabilize.

Should you wait for hair loss to complete before doing a hair transplant?

It is not necessary to wait until the hair loss is complete. The technique allows hair to be grafted between existing hair, while also acting to improve and restore hair density.

Results in patients

Does the hair implant leave a scar?

Hair transplantation uses a 0.7-0.8 mm diameter micropunch for the extraction phase. The resulting wounds are minimal and heal within 3 days leaving completely unnoticeable scars.

Urinary incontinence

Stress urinary incontinence, novel non-invasive laser treatment.

Stress urinary incontinence is a problem that affects many women of all ages and strongly impacts all aspects of their lives.

Clinical picture

Clinically, it presents as sudden urine leakage upon exertion or when coughing, sneezing, laughing, or exercising.

Stress urinary incontinence is seen more frequently in women who have had vaginal deliveries.

Vaginal delivery can cause a weakening of the pelvic floor muscles. The bladder and urethra are supported by these muscles.

When any of these muscle groups is weakened, urine can pass from the bladder to the urethra and from it to the outside with minimal pressure on the bladder.

The Carbon Dioxide Laser tightens the pelvic walls improving stress urinary incontinence, rejuvenates the genital area, improving elasticity and vaginal discharge, improves or eliminates dyspareunia.

It is a procedure, fast, painless, effective and without adverse effects.

A prerequisite for this treatment is consultation with the primary gynecologist so that he can perform a gynecological check-up and a pap smear study.

Cost of Laser Urinary Incontinence Treatment

The cost is $12,000 pesos each session.

It is recommended to perform 3 sessions, with an interval of 30 days between one and the other.

More information about Laser Urinary Incontinence Treatment:

Novel Carbon Dioxide Laser Treatment:

Dr. Ricardo Hoogstra has carried out treatments with Carbon Dioxide Laser since 1995, he was one of the pioneers in the use of this technology for Facial Rejuvenation and to treat a large number of skin diseases.

For some years now, he has been using a special type of carbon dioxide laser to treat patients suffering from dyspareunia, patients with urinary incontinence and patients with sexual dissatisfaction due to dilation of the vaginal canal.

The light energy of the laser produces a stimulation of the collagen. Neocholagenogenesis increases the tone of the perineum, the vaginal canal and rejuvenates the vaginal mucosa.

This treatment is well tolerated, outpatient and the results are satisfactory.
It is recommended to carry out three sessions with 30-day intervals between one and the other.

The end result is a rejuvenation of the vaginal mucosa, a tightening effect on the vagina and perineum.

After treatment, patients report disappearance or attenuation of incontinence, improvement or disappearance of dyspareunia and greater satisfaction with sexual intercourse.

Once the 3 sessions are over, we recommend doing a reinforcement session the following year. The results obtained last for years.

As a conclusion we can say that this is a painless, effective, outpatient treatment and with which until now we have not verified undesired effects.

Dermopigmentation (eyebrows, lips and eyelids)

The dermopigmentation technique, also called micropigmentation or permanent makeup, it works at the level of the deep epidermis and for this reason it is a long-term treatment (approximately 3 to 4 years).

It is a procedure fast and effective in order to enhance the features, correct asymmetries, depigmentation and dyschromia achieving immediate changes.

How is it the procedure?

It consists of the superficial implantation in the skin of some pigments, by means of micro-needles. La dermopigmentación o maquillaje cromático semi-permanente representa una opción para obtener, aunque sólo fuera por simple comodidad, un stable and unalterable aesthetic make-up. Everything is done with disposable material, under total quality control.

What kind of pigments do we use?

The pigments are natural of vegetable origin, they do not have preservatives or chemicals, for that reason they do not last a lifetime and are reabsorbed over time (from two to three years).

It has no contraindications, it is performed under local anesthesia and allows immediate results to be seen.

Before and after

In which parts of the body can it be applied?

It is mainly used in lips, eyebrows and eyelids. It is done on eyebrows sparse and/or asymmetrical, through the hair-to-hair technique, an eyebrow with a natural effect is achieved, leaving them perfect every day with an ideal frame for the face.

In eyes It allows to give it a frame with the technique of dotting on the birth of eyelashes, achieving a delicate finish. With the linear technique, it gives a more rigid outline, achieving an intense look on both the upper and lower eyelids.

In the lips A visual effect of lip augmentation is achieved by simply making a design that improves asymmetries and loss of color, with the pigments the edges are defined and they regain freshness and sensuality.

Micropigmentation is also used for reconstructive purposes, not only aesthetic. In the case of breast reconstruction due to mastectomy or alopecia of the scalp, eyelashes or eyebrows, or due to hair loss due to chemotherapy, the procedure is the same. The area is drawn with the corresponding measurements, anesthetic cream is applied locally and the work is carried out with excellent results that help to overcome these difficulties.

Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis is a pathology characterized by excessive sweating in the armpits, hands, feet and face, of unknown cause.

Clinical picture

It is due to a neurological stimulus that produces hyperstimulation of the sweat glands. It generally has a genetic component, since it occurs frequently in parents and children. Although many times it is caused by emotional stress, most hyperhidrosis occurs spontaneously. It typically begins in adolescence or young adulthood in both men and women. Hyperhidrosis impairs personal and work activities, affecting the quality of life.

Treatment

At Hoogstra Medical Centers we treat excessive sweating only in the armpit area with Botulinum Toxin.
Blocking the nerve endings with Botulinum Toxin Type A is a safe and effective option, it produces temporary denervation of the sweat glands, resulting in a local reduction in sweating for a period of 7 to 8 months.

Cost of Treating Hyperhidrosis with Botulinum Toxin

The cost of the treatment is $150.000. The cost of the consultation is $30,000 pesos, which will be reimbursed if the treatment is performed

This treatment is performed by Dr. Ricardo Hoogstra in the 3 branches of Hoogstra Medical Centers
